one of the most stressful events in our lives. Sometimes, we see one
problem precipitate another and our client's lives can quickly become

We are particularly proud to offer our unique
full moving service to seniors. Our elders are often faced with
the difficult task of downsizing from a large family home. We
help seniors with all facets of the moving process, including
supervision of the moving, packing, decision making, distributing family heirlooms,
decorating and coordinating the arranging of the new home to the specifications of our
clients. During that process, we orchestrate the selling, donating, or recycling of all
items that will need to find a new home. We offer our vision
and insight in order to transform your new space into a comfortable
and pleasing home environment fostering harmony, order and balance.
Our specialty is downsizing clients who
own a lot and are moving to much smaller places. We love the image
of "fitting an apple into a pea pod"
because it shows the difficulty of the task at hand for anyone who
is moving to a smaller place. |
In the following pictures, our client had
not been well for some time. Her son had tried to introduce us so
that we could help her prepare to move. She kept on putting it off,
didn't want to give up her independence, had a stroke and ended
up in a rehab hospital.
Our client went from 3200 sq. ft. to 900
sq. ft. She had 17 closet spaces in her former home and three closets
in the new one. With the help of our photo inventory, she was able
to pick and chose what she wanted to keep. We also brought her swatches
of color samples and carpet pieces so that she could have her own
style in the new space. Changing-Places also took care of getting
bids for closet remodeling, painting, contractors and movers for
the job. It was a happy day when she was able to come home to her
little museum of loving things in her new place.
