Margaret Fearey Walsh

With a background in interior design & event production and more than 30 years in successful business management, Margaret brings style and substance to every job. Born and raised in Philadelphia, and now living in California, Margaret knows what it means to 'do it right.' A recent client described Margaret as "elegant and sophisticated with a blue collar work ethic." Margaret sees herself and her dream team of professional organizers as 'Moving Architects,' because, "We plan, implement and manage moves all over the world."

There is no blue print for any of this work. Each project is unique and must be treated as such. We orchestrate services including photo inventories, organizers, movers bids, box deliveries, labeling, appraisers and auctioneers, Feng Shui, floor plans, furniture purchases, downsizing, handymen, electricians, contractors, charity pickups, recycling, haulers, nanny services, babyproofing and much more.

In 1993, Margaret Fearey Walsh, having moved to California, started her first company here: Rent-A-Wife. Services included errands, housekeeping and catering for busy people. Today the company has evolved into Changing-Places, Inc,. where we continue to help people, locally and globally, with even more services. The expertise we have developed over these 16 years allows us to guide our clients to making the best decisions for their futures, using a sensible, practical approach. We make each job as stress free and easy as possible. We down-size, right-size, move, organize, stage and oversee remodeling jobs of all kinds. Margaret pioneered this industry in Northern California.

As a way to give back, Margaret donates a portion of all proceeds from Changing-Places, Inc. to the National Foundation for Celiac Awareness (NFCA).

Turning her difficulties into strengths, Margaret takes nothing for granted and provides her clients with a laser-like focus unusual in the industry. Providing excellence is important to Margaret — a commitment she renews each day.

"I am grateful to Margaret and Mike for the amazing double session that they provided. I feel like I had a wonderful breakthrough.

This was my first Reiki session. I was impressed with how relaxing it was. Then Margaret introduced a “balancing” component. She instructed me to think of a negative belief or pattern in my life that I want to be rid of. I released a lot of left-over emotion from childhood over not having enough money and personal attention. It felt very empowering to me.

My session with Mike was another first. I was delighted at how gracefully he communicated with me as a beginner. I am a little sensitive to loud noises and was afraid that the drumming might be too loud and uncomfortable for me. But it was not too loud at all. I noticed the vibration of it more than the volume of it. And it felt good.

I feel like that first metaphysical journey, combined with the Reiki session, opened up new doors for growth and expansion. The very next day, I received an inspiration for a brand new business concept. I am test marketing the idea now.

I returned a few weeks later for a second double session. Again, it was delightful and very relaxing. More layers of old, stale, left-over emotions are peeling off. New areas of growth are being explored.

I have lost my only daughter with Brain Cancer, the big C, and was in deep mourning - well, I fell asleep and when I woke, I was relieved. I had a message, the first one, in my soul. My daughter said to me she didn't want to go but she is OK and happy. Now, I don't cry unless I realize how lonely I am for her. I realize she sent me the message, she is fine.
