STAGING
The business of Home Staging begins when homes need to be cleaned and fixed up to go on the market. There are many meanings and misconceptions about what the job really is. We at Changing-Places give each home a fresh new look that will appeal to most prospective buyers.

A home with furniture is much easier to sell, especially when some of the features are less than perfect. We focus on the good, downplay the negatives, and bring neutrality and a positive flow to the home.

There are lots of homes that do not need new furniture. We will use the existing pieces where possible, and with de-cluttering, we can have the house looking wonderful in only a few days.

When furniture is needed to upgrade your home for the sale, Changing-Places will help you buy gently used furniture at consignment stores instead of renting. Once your home is sold, you may either keep the furniture, or sell it back to the consignment store for 50% of the original purchase price. The benefit is that you know exactly how much you’ll spend, whether your home is on the market for one week or for months.

Some homes we manage have been so badly torn apart that we have to create a whole new place from the ceiling down. In those cases, we assist one of many great stagers who own and rent furniture to bring in the works to make the place look fabulous.

A big advantage in using Changing-Places is that our team works quickly, and develops a system that is fine-tuned to each clients needs. Some clients need to live in their home while it is being shown to prospective buyers. We are sensitive to these needs and assist the client in creating ways for them to be able to live comfortably while keeping the place looking good.

When Changing-Places sorts through belongings to stage a house, we organize the packing of the non-fragile items in boxes to be moved, thus saving time and money.
